Kristina Kealoha Meachen (Kris), age 74, passed away Monday, January 27, 2025, after a long, courageous battle with heart disease. She was born in Honolulu, HI on January 29, 1950, to parents Rowland Adolph Kieburtz and Nova Louise Christensen Kieburtz. Her Hawaiian middle name means, “The Loved One,” and she was, by all her family and friends. She graduated from Balboa Senior High School, Canal Zone, Panama and attended Mercer University, Macon, GA. She was active in the Crockett American Legion Auxiliary Post 134 and had an extensive career with Statewide Materials, and Penurock Trucking Companies. She will be remembered for her contagious giggle, her knack for winning slot machine jackpots, her homemade Christmas gifts for friends and family and her affection for KD, her dog. Growing up in a military family, she lived in many places such as CA, CO, HI, GA, NC, KY, FL, Germany, and Panama, but she loved Crockett and cherished her country life. Her family knew she was born a country girl because the first thing she asked for was a horse, not a doll or a bike.
She is survived by her loving husband, James Meachen, Crockett, TX; her adorning son, Grant Jacobs, San Marcos, TX, and wife Jamie Jacobs; stepdaughter, Jamie Craddock, Gilbert, AR; stepdaughter, Emily Meachen, Willis, TX; stepson, Randy Meachen, Giddings, TX and wife Julie Meachen; step-grandchildren, William Craddock and wife Kathryn Craddock, Calvin Craddock, Bailey Craddock, Ruby Meachen, Emma Meachen, Lucy Meachen; sister, Kim Farrell, Trophy Club, TX and husband, Edward Ferrell; sister, Gabrielle Enos, Odessa, FL; sister, Stacey Enos, Asheville, NC and wife Annie Jonas; nephew, Gabriel Enos, Asheville, NC; sister, Romney Enos, New Port Richey, FL; niece, Ryanne Ahlman, Red Oak, TX; aunt, Jan Etheredge, Sahaurita, AZ; and all of her good friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Crockett American Legion Auxiliary Post 134.
