Jackie Denman Cheatham was born on November 28, 1946 to George and Velma Cheatham. He was the third child born to this union. Jackie was raised in Grapeland and attended Grapeland Independent School District.
Jackie attended First Baptist Church as a child and later moved his membership to Muse Missionary Baptist Church. He was also a lifetime member of the NRA (National Rifle Association).
Jackie was a devoted husband, father, uncle, paw-paw and friend. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and all the grandbabies. After 40 years, Jackie retired as a draftsman.
If he loved you, you knew it, and he loved you to a fault without ever giving up on you.
Jackie was preceded in death by his parents, George and Velma Cheatham and grandson Austin Cheatham.
Jackie leaves behind his wife, Kathy, of 54 years; son, Jon Cheatham and wife Kathy of Grapeland, TX, daughter Misty Kahl and husband James, Montgomery, TX; brother Cecil Cheatham and wife Marcia, Grapeland, TX; sisters Nadine Johnson, Crockett, TX and Carolyn Arnold, Austin, Texas; and nine (9) grandchildren and fourteen (14) great-grandchildren.
