Bobby was born in Crockett, Texas to Jesse and Lucille Thomas on September 8, 1955, and attended school in Latexo, ISD.
He worked as a truck driver at Wal-Mart and later for Vulcraft until his untimely passing on February 22, 2020.
Bobby loved people and never met a stranger – he loved to talk. He also enjoyed traveling and live music; but most of all he loved his only daughter, Chelsie, and five grandkids Julia (12 years old), Jettie (4 years old) twins: Erin and Timothy (2 years old), Truitt (16 months old); and he was excited about the second set of twins on the way (Thomas and Trezephan) in June 2020. If you ever talked to Bobby he would always bring up his grandkids. He enjoyed talking with his son-in-law, John, who he thought made the best steaks ever. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
Bobby is preceded in death by both parents Jesse Lee and Lucille Thomas; brother Billy Joe and sister-in-law Sylvia Thomas and stepson Timothy Callaway.
Left to continue his legacy is daughter Chelsie Layne Thomas Forrest and husband John David Forrest of Elkhart, Texas; five grandchildren, Julia, Jettie, Erin, Timothy, and Truitt; sisters Marie Roe and husband Eddie Roe of Willis, Texas; Kathryn Ahmed and husband Najam Ahmed, or Sugar Land, Texas.
