Angus Walker

Angus DeVandoe Walker was born August 24, 1990 to Andrew Smith and Stephanie Walker.  Angus was raised in Grapeland, Texas, where he lived out his childhood and parts of his adulthood. Angus accepted Christ into his life and was baptized at Rising Star Baptist Church at a young age and remained a member of the church until his passing.  He was a proud graduate of Grapeland High School Graduating Class of 2009.

Angus held a steady job working in road construction for five (5) continual years.  He had a big heart, and out of everything he loved to help his family members the most.  As most would say, Angus was always just one call away.

Angus was a devoted family man who reveled in the joy and laughter of family gatherings, where stories were shared, jokes were told, bonds were strengthened, and unforgettable memories were created.  Angus enjoyed spending quality time with his step-father, Kent Walker.  His daughters were the light of his life, and he loved them both with all his heart.  Not only was he a wonderful fiancé to Angelica, but he was a son, brother, nephew, step-father, cousin and friend to many.  To know Angus, was to love Angus.

Angus received his wings to be with the Lord on Sunday the 13th of October with his family by his side at Midcoast Medical Center in Crockett, Texas.

Angus is preceded in death by grandparents Gus L. Walker, and Rossetta Davis Walker, and Andrew B. Walker and Katherine Walker; uncles, Gus Leon Walker, James Walker, Darrell Wayne “Dyke” Walker, Greg Walker, Eckerd Walker, Larry Walker, Eddie B. Walker and McArther Walker, Sr.; and aunt Gale Walker.

Left to continue his legacy are his daughters, KayLynn Nicholson and Adalyn Walker; mother, Stephanie Walker  and stepfather, Kent Walker; father, Andrew Smith (Cynthia); fiancé, Angelica Gonzales; brothers, Andrew Walker (Paty), Jason Walker (Whitney), Marlin Smith (Clara), Justin Smith; sisters, Sherrena Walker (Booker), Andrea Walker (Urkel), Katherine Walker (Tarus), Jasmin Walker (Devin), Kerri Horton Ujadughele (Paul); nephews, Sean Walker, Dan Juan Walker, Jordan Walker, Jason Jr. Walker, Levi Walker, Devin Jr. Charles, Markeith Henderson, DeTorrance Black; nieces, Yazmin Charles, Adrianna Walker, Aaliyah Harrison, Alana Walker, Ka’Zarria Harris, Zearah Harris, Landon Charles, Zamoni Harris, Novah Charles, SaKyria Henderson; special niece, Kimberly Turner; uncles, Otis Walker, Charlie Walker (Linda), Charles Hart (Tashaun), Paul Hart (Neeky), Travis Hart (Angela); aunts, Rosie Davis, Regina Johnson Booker, Annie Mall, Ellen Shepherd, Mary Lomax, Linda Walker, Shirie Taylor, Francis Phillips, Nikki Steinsbo, great-aunt, Willie M.
