Albert Lee Dawson, Sr. was born April 27, 1941, in Grapeland, Texas to the late Leon and Emma Dawson.
He joined Cedar Branch Missionary Baptist Church, Grapeland, TX at an early age and attended W.R. Banks High School in Grapeland, TX where he graduated in 1959. He went on to attend Prairie View A&M College, Prairie View, TX, for one year in Auto Mechanics.
Al was a jack of all trades and had the knowledge to work in many fields during his lifetime. He worked for James Blair Paint Company, Sears & Roebuck and Overhead Door while living in Dallas, TX. Once he moved back home to Grapeland, TX, he found employment with the Grapeland Independent School District as a school bus driver. He also drove trucks many years for Vaughn Frisby Trucking Company.
Albert Lee Dawson, Sr. peacefully entered into eternal rest on April 19, 2017, at the Elkhart Manor Nursing Home.
