Honoring Our Veterans

PROUDLY SERVING THOSE WHO PROUDLY SERVED

Veterans’ families need extra support in their time of loss to help manage the extra processes and paperwork for a veterans' funeral.

Our beloved veterans served us and our country – now we serve them along with their families. Our nation’s veterans deserve our special consideration and simplified veterans' funeral care.

We are happy to relieve you of these extra details and support you in understanding veterans' funeral benefits.

  • Opening and closing of the grave

  • Perpetual care

  • A Government headstone or marker

  • A burial flag

  • A Presidential Memorial Certificate

Veteran Cremations

Your loved ones cremated remains can be buried or inurned in national cemeteries with full honors and in the same way as with casketed remains.

Burial in a VA National Cemetery

Where possible, we encourage veterans’ families to prepare in advance getting necessary military papers together including discharge papers (DD 214) and discussing cemetery options and contacting the desired cemetery.

Gravesites in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) national cemeteries cannot be reserved in advance; however, reservations made prior to 1962 will be honored.

Burial in a Private Cemetery

It’s suggested by the VA when burying a veteran in a private cemetery and a Government headstone or marker is to be requested, that the veteran’s family apply in advance so that the application can be placed with the veterans' military discharge papers for use at the time of need. We can assist you with this process.

Arranging for Military Honors

With the family’s request, eligible honorably discharged veterans can receive a military funeral honors ceremony with folding and presenting the United States burial flag and playing of the Taps. Inform us of your family request and wishes and we will request military funeral honors on your behalf.

VA provided Headstones

When requested the VA furnishes at no charge to the veterans family a government headstone or marker for the grave of any deceased eligible veteran in any cemetery. Flat markers in granite, marble, and bronze, and upright headstones in granite and marble are available.

Presidential Memorial Certificate

We can assist you with the required paperwork to obtain a Presidential Memorial Certificate. The memorial certificate is an engraved paper certificate signed by the current President. It’s issued to honor the memory of honorably discharged deceased veterans as an expression of the country’s grateful recognition of the veteran’s service in the United States Armed Forces.
